One Simple Resume is a free, browser-based resume builder that allows users to create, edit, and export professional resumes and cover letters. The Service includes resume templates, an ATS scoring engine, AI-assisted writing features, and PDF export functionality.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part thereof) at any time with or without notice. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.

3. Free Use & No Account Required

One Simple Resume is provided free of charge. No account, registration, or payment is required to use the core functionality of the Service. You may use the Service anonymously. Your resume data is stored locally in your browser and is not transmitted to our servers during normal use.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You may not use the Service to:

• Create or distribute false, fraudulent, or misleading resume content
• Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your qualifications
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or automate access to the Service
• Transmit harmful code, malware, or any disruptive content
• Use the Service in any way that violates applicable local, national, or international law
• Resell or commercialize the Service without explicit written permission

5. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality — including resume templates, UI design, code, and branding — are and will remain the exclusive property of One Simple Resume. Our templates, trademarks, and service marks may not be used in connection with any product or service without prior written consent.

The content you create using the Service (your resume text, work history, etc.) belongs to you. By using AI features, you grant us a limited, temporary license to process your submitted text solely to generate AI suggestions on your behalf.

6. AI Features

AI-powered features (bullet improvements, summary generation, skill suggestions, job description tailoring) are provided as-is. AI-generated content is a suggestion only — you are responsible for reviewing, editing, and ensuring the accuracy of any content added to your resume. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of AI-generated suggestions.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

We do not guarantee that using One Simple Resume will result in job interviews, employment offers, or any specific employment outcome. Resume effectiveness depends on many factors beyond the tool used to create them.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, One Simple Resume shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill — arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.

9. Data & Local Storage

You are responsible for maintaining backups of your resume data. Since your data is stored locally in your browser, clearing your browser's local storage, using private browsing mode, or switching devices will result in the loss of saved resumes. One Simple Resume is not liable for any loss of data stored in your browser.

10. Links to Third-Party Sites

The Service may contain links to third-party websites. These links are provided for convenience only. We have no control over the content of those sites and accept no responsibility for them or for any loss or damage that may arise from your use of them.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation first, followed by binding arbitration if necessary.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
